Creative Director for Live Oak Communications

About: Live Oak Communications is a student-run agency based at the Elon School of Communications. The agency collaborates with local clients to deliver a wide range of communication services. I began my tenure at Live Oak as a Creative Content Producer, advanced to Assistant Creative Director, and ultimately served as Creative Director during the fall and spring of 2021. Throughout the year, my team and I engaged in various creative projects, including designing Limited Time Offer campaigns for restaurant clients and developing enduring campaigns for long-term implementation.

Newsletter: As Creative Director, I was responsible for producing the annual Live Oak Newsletter, which is distributed to donors, special guests, alumni, business partners, and the faculty and staff of the School of Communications. This newsletter serves as a vital tool for showcasing Live Oak's accomplishments throughout the year and supports the dean in securing funds from major donors for Live Oak and other programs at Elon. The final version, which was a year in the making, was published in the fall of 2021, covering the 2020-21 academic year.

McPherson Print: This advertisement was designed to establish a new visual identity for McPherson Cleaners. Published in the Elon Pendulum and adapted for social media, the ad ran for three weeks coinciding with Elon family events. It emphasized the reliability of this family-owned business and played a crucial role in the Back to School Campaign for the Fall of 2021.

Art Direction: During my time at Live Oak, I held various roles, including Creative Member, Assistant Creative Director, and Creative Director. I thoroughly enjoyed contributing to the agency and supporting fellow creatives. As Creative Director, I led projects such as the McPherson Cleaners "That Chair" Campaign, the Animal Hospital of Mebane’s "aHOME" Campaign, and the Americorps Seniors of Alamance County "Because of Your Age" Campaign.
